if someone could please tell me or even show me a pic of how the solenoid mounted on the driver side of a 93 2.3L dual spark plug ranger is wired that would be great.
i was having a no spark issue and have gone through basically everything. someone said try this i replaced it with a new cheap one from auto zone and then every time i reconnected the battery the truck would try to start. tested the solenoid and it was a closed circuit. so got a new one agian and just want to be sure i hooked it up right and that i didnt burn it up.

One large cable from battery positive will go to one of the large connections on the side of the relay. Truck electrical feeds will also go to this connection. These are smaller wires with the large hole connector, and fuse links in them. The cable going to the starter will go to the large connection on the other side of the relay. The small rd/lt blu wire connects to the small post on the front of the relay. This wire comes from the ignition switch, and only has voltage with the ignition key in the start position. It sounds as if you had this wire under the positive battery cable on your first attempt.:)shady
