Im taking that is a fro a 98 ranger?.....

your asking about two diffrent animals there......

if your more after a daily driver type...fabtech will save you a little money its a ball joint kit and uses a casted spindal....

if your looking to really romp on your truck...burg or H&M these kits are uniball, stronger than the balljoints, and have custom made spindals.

any kit you get if you plan to take it off road a fair amount gusset in the upper arm mount's.As they have been known to tear off the frames.

Yes, unless you're planning on running the same size tires. What gears do you have now, and what are your plans for the truck?

i dont know which gears i have and i dont know how to check but what i want to do is put the 6" lift and get 32" tires and looking to do a little engine work untill i can get some more money to go deeper into it. its going to be a daily driver but some rough off roading. how it feels on the street doesnt matter to me just as long as its better then stock.

witht he 4banger you will want 4.56's with 31;s, 4.88's for 32's, or 5.13;s for 33's

and youll keep a crusing speed of around 70 on the freeway...and still top out around 100..on avg you will be about 300rpm over stock on the freeway, but have stockover all power even with the bigger tires

skip motor work on the 4banger, unless you talking making a esslinger type of motor out of it.Run it till something flys out of the bottom and throw a 4.0
in it....

if nothing has been changed out on your truck driveline wise or your drivers door, the door tag in the drivers door will have a code under "axle" then you can look it up here in the tech. libary section on this forum so what what gears you have now...

There should also be a tag on the rear diff that should have something along the lines of '3L73' or so.... There wasn't any label on the driver's door?

Don't look up the VIN. On the tag on the door there should be a bunch of different sections that have codes for things such as axles/gear ratios, paint color et cetera. The axle code should be 2 letters. Or maybe 3?
