Question about MAF and air box

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the MAF sensor and the airbox on my '98? Thanks
 
my 96 or 94 dont have gaskets in between them. they just bolt straight to it.
 
nope no gaskets - the only ones i know of are between the throttle body and intake manifold, one between upper and lower portions of the manifold, and between the engine and lower portion of the intake manifold.
