Hi folks.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I need some help. I have a 1988 Ranger that is running on 32x11.50's and would like to know if I can modify my old tubular cradle mount under the frame to fit the larger tire.

Thank you in advance.:icon_thumby:

This may not help, but the clearance between frame rails is the big question for under bed mounting. Notching the rails weakens the frame a small amount.
To answer your question, it is easiest to add a drop bar to the pivot end, or change mounting position of the crossbar to the lower lip of the frame. The sticker becomes the length of the center bolt that actually holds the tire. Increased thickness (from stock) of the tire/wheel may require a longer bolt to hold the tire on the rack.

There is one thing I have been thinking about doing to mount a 33 inch spare under my bed. Deflate the tire and mount it under there, put like 10psi in it to squeeze it in there good and then store a little 12 volt compressor behind the seats or behind a rear jumpseat.
