bed extender

I have a ford bed extender for my 04 ranger. Does anyone know what kind of hardware I need to mount it to the bed? There are holes there in the bed, but I'm not sure what I need, or where to get it.

Go to your Ford Dealer. "stud", you need two, are about 10$ each.

ok, I found the part number for what I need on another site and got the parts, but I'm not sure what I need to do to install the "studs" as you call them. I see the holes were they should go, but do I have to tap the threads myself or am I missing something obvious? It almost looks like there are little caps in the holes that could pop out, but the more I look at them I'm thinking I have to tap them myself.
