so i had a bad day lol, spent hours at the DMV gettng my truck put in my name since i got it i had it in my dads name because of insurance reasons. we changed insurance here in the last month so i decided to have my truck put in mine name..what a great feeling! anyhow!
i go to the dentist due to a tooth pain, turns out i need a root canal and cap..will be around $2,000 and we have no dental insurance
on my way home i was at the drive thru at arbys and heard my rear axle poping and clunking...bad i get home and try some tight turns...it was worse. so i ran down to a local junk yard i decided to upgrade to 4:10s well i was at it.
$690 later i walked away with a '01 8.8 4:10 limited slip with 50,000 miles, and a '06 4:10 front diffy with 20,000 miles! SCORE!
i spent about 5 hours tonight swaping out my rear axle, i'll do the front one this weekend just have to make sure not to pop it in 4x4 haha
after it was done and the test drive, OMG i LOVE it!!!! i have power again, ever since i went with 31s i'd lost some power...now its damn snappy off the line and cruises sooooo nice...thought i'd share the pics and story
