If you just do beams, you should be OK with the stock eccentrics. I would suggest getting the adjustable ones listed at the top of the page though while you are at it. That way if/when you go lower they will already be there.

The last ranger i had i lowered with the same ibeam and it was a 2.3 and the camber was off. They said they couldnt get a true alignment because the camber wouldnt sit straight. I then ordered the adjustable ones and they said it needed to be more than 2.5 degrees.

Im not going any lower but it will sit lower when i swap my 4.0 for the 5.0.

Hell I didn't have any problems with mine and I have the 2'' coils and the 3'' beams. Even when I just had the 2'' coils, I still had the stock eccentrics and they were able to put it in spec.

if you have a 89-97 go to napa and get the eccentrics part # 264-3950 +-4 degree camber caster adjusters and then take the truck to an alignment shop. Absolutly no reason the truck cant be aligned perfict.

Using the Dream Beams: What if the truck had a 2.3 but it was changed to a 4.0? Should the springs and eccentrics from the 4.0 truck be installed into the one with the 2.3 or does it matter?

you might want to use the 4.0 springs, but there is only 1 part number for ranger aftermarket lowering coils so I dont know if ford had different springs or not. As for eccentrics get the adjustable ones from napa.

I went from a 2.3 to a 4.0 with stock I beams.. had to change springs and eccentrics to get the wheels right... never had it checked but the tires wore like they should. The 2.3 truck was a 89.. the 4.0 was a 92... The esscentrics were very different... I agree with going with the nappa parts..

true that. i would get the eccentrics right away. some off road shops may be more able to use the eccentrics properly. some shop around were i live wouldn't use them. the off road shop near me is used to them and knows how to use them right. might be worth a few phone calls

The part number I listed above is +-4 degrees camber/caster it is the max you can get for a ranger.

Somebody obviously used the search function (as people should on forums) and then asked a new question about the same topic, that bumped the thread up as a new post (along with the other thread you posted in) so I answered the questions. What is the problem? I'm not digging up old threads and answering questions from years ago. Read the dates on the recent questions in the threads.
