I've read in a few threads doing this can give you more power. I cant find a thread on how to do it. Can anybody direct me to a thread or tell me how?

Thanks, that's what i meant, I have an 87 Ranger, and really feel like i dont get anything when I step on it.

Thanks, I checked and i have about 1.5" of play in it. I'll get that fixed.

I did mine a while ago...ended up using about ten of those zip ties...tried to work in a piece of tube instead but abandoned that idea...still got them on though...worked good with my carb setup...

Wow, so picked up some zip ties today, and sinched it right up, now I actually have power through 4,000 rpm, as i used to loose all power after about 3,000 before.

Good stuff! The best things in life are free...or cheap...
