Ranger Bench Seat

Anyone know if I can dye a ranger bench set? I just bought a 1985 4wd ranger. I want to take out the seat and put a split bench from an 04 in it. But the one I found is green and I need it to be black. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help your seat situation, but damn that's a nice truck! I think that's the first 1st-gen, reg cab, short bed I've ever seen.

Dang, wish my truck was that clean...

I would get seatcovers for the newer seats, or you can get new cloth in the color you want and either recover them yourself or have an upholstery shop do it. That way, they will come out looking like they deserve to be in that truck. :icon_thumby:

'04 seats won't fit on a first gen I hear because of the air bag seat belt or something... plus you'll need seat tracks from a first or second gen regular cab truck...

You can try fabric spray paint. thats what i used on my sunvisors. I think it would work best on grey tho. I tried to dye my seats with fabric dye and it didn't turn out how i expected. but they were origonally grey so it still worked enough to make me content with the results.
