I did some digging around and found this.
It's probably in wrong section but as I'm not an administrator so I can't put it into engine section directly.
The base block casting is just about the same from 2001, some modification for the 2006 Mazda 6 turbo car.
Hers link to engine section
http://www.ugnius.lt/mazda/Files/Mazdaspeed 6 Technical Training.pdf
Mazda 6 makes 274 bhp with a turbo, alloy valve cover and intake manifold.
Compression is only dropped by 0.2 points (9.5:1 instead of 9.7:1)
The service manual for car is downloadable, it gives all the info you will need.
Its a shim under bucket valve adjustment which may scare a few people (you have to take cams out for valve adjustment)
I've been doing motorcycle engines like that for 30+yrs so not a problem for me ( Kawasaki Z650, 1977?)
