Slipping Transmission

My ranger feels like there is slipping when initially going into first and in all other gears in lower rpms when accelerating. I did a clutch swap to the centerforce dual friction and it is still having the problem. Also, replaced the u joints, had the driveshaft balanced, and replaced the carrier bearing. I'm hoping the tranny is not at fault although it is whining up until 4th but it has caused any headaches yet. Any suggestions?

Yeah it is most likely the slip yoke. I had that problem too and although its not that serious it is a pain in the rear and very aggrevating to feel on every slow takeoff. Get up underneath the truck and the slip yoke is located on the driveshaft itself. You'll see towards the front of the shaft, a rubber boot with two clamps on each end. Remove the clamp on the fatter side and leave the other one. then slide the boot back and pump standard SGLI No. 2 (wheel bearing) grease in there. Pack it in there as much as you can with a grease gun and then just pull the boot back down and clamp it again. The hardest part of this fix is just getting the damn clamp off, but once that's done its really a straight forward process. I've put about 3500 miles on it since the fix and havent felt it since. I had the slip greased whenever I had the driveshaft balanced. Although i did notice that grease had come out of the grease seal at the rear of the transmission and had been splattered on the under carriage. Also, i have been meaning change the fluid on the rear differential but haven't yet. Is there any way that a differential or the issue with the grease seal could be at fault.
