How should I go about fixing this?

I've heard everything from swapping the bed, slapping bondo on it, and even cutting out the whole side and welding in a replacement piece from another truck. I'd like to have the cheapest method possible, but also one that's not butt ugly.

remove the inner fender and use a small rubber mallet to knock out the dents; it doesn't look like there is any creases. Then sand and add some bondo/fiber glass to fill in what the scratches have; you may also be able to use filling primer and then sand smooth and finally paint.

A little bondo never hurts, but try to pop the dent out as much as you can. You are not supposed to put more then 1/16 of an inch thick bondo on it because it will tend to crack, so be careful and take your time. The only bad thing will be painting; I guess you could get away with just painting the bed, but it could look funny depending on the condition of the rest of the paint (not matched).

So, what is the plan? full paint job or no?

i'd grind it down and use a nail gun..pull as much as possible out..then use a small amount of bondo..presto..perfection!

take the bed off and build a cage for the bed

ALL FIXED NOW

That's how I fixed mine. It looks great.:icon_thumby:

Just lift it so high that those ankle biter hondas can't touch the body...other than that...the using a body hammer and some bondo sounds like the cheapest solution...and something you can do yourself...without too much equipment...
