Wiring acessories to ignition.

I would like to wire my Sirus radio and a scanner to come on with the ignition. I have an 08 Ranger. What is the best way to go about this? Should i come off the fuse box? Can I tap into my FM radios power cable?

I'd check what voltage your Sirius operate at, as I don't believe it is 12v

no its not but it comes with a converter box between the power source and the radio itself.

You could come off the cigarett lighter (not the 12v outlet if you have it). The 12v keeps constant power, or at least is does in the '02. The cigarett lighter is switched off and on. The radio would work too as long as you get the switched power wire and not the constant power wire.

black/yellow wire in your radio harness is switched on with the ignition. At least it is in my 2003, i think your is the same, but don't hold me to that.
