2.3L turbo diesel?

After some searching on line last night I found a couple references to the 4D55 being used in the Ranger. This is the engine used in the diesel D50's.
I'm going on the assumption that it's the same block, so motor mounts should bolt up.

exact same engine. dont know bout transmissions tho would like to know, 4d55 may have the same transmission as the 2.3 4 banger gas that would be awesome
