A friend of mine has one for his s-10 it has an on/off switch so you can run it on or off of course. His is just a small fan that when he turns it on it pushes more air into the intake. I personally think e-superchargers are junk. If your gonna get a SC find a Whipple or Eaton.

My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
scam ...... like that guy that sells the "chip" for the Ford 3.0L for $25 and says you get power and mileage gains but all he did was put a resistor on the thermal sensor so it shows the engine cold and produces a rich condition which will eventually cause other really expensive problems......... same level of scam. you want some performance gain, advance the cam timing........ AllanD says 3 deg works jut fine. and that is a bigger performance gain that 3 psi boost on something that if it does work wont work for long.

they are a scam.

an electric super charger would need at least a 1-2HP motor to keep up with a medium sized V6.

i highly doubt they could push 3 psi into a briggs and stratton. 3 psi is probably the static pressure rating.

Electronic superchargers work great!! If properly installed:icon_thumby:
(This can also be done with a belt driven GM smog pump)

Start with a Craftsman Riding mower w/12hp Briggs.

Mix up 1 gal of 93octane with 16oz of rubbing alcohol and 1 capful of acetone based fingernail polish remover. (acetone bonds alcohol to gas)

Wire 2 9v batteries together in series to make 18v. This will run the "blower"

Install the "blower" to the 12hp briggs motor with some ingenuity, add your fuel, lean out the mixture on the carb a lil. Done

Other things to make it better.
*Change out the 11" pulley on top of the trans, with a 7" one. With this done you will actually have to use the clutch and shift, It will not start off in high gear this way.
*Make a header. Mount a straight piece of 1" pipe to the exhaust port, draw a line down it with a crayon. Ride your mower around for 5min, cut the pipe where the crayon stopped melting off.
*Shave the head. Glue a piece of sandpaper to a piece of glass. Work the head in a figure-8 pattern on the sandpaper. Use clay to check for valve clearance.

Note, this is not legal in actual lawnmower races. Have fun, I did:icon_thumby:

Our parents wouldn't let use have go-carts, but since we cut grass to make money they let use have a riding mower. It all started with a flame paint-job.

It's pretty badass to not even have a license yet and be riding 30MPH wheelies up the road on a lawn mower. At least untill the old lady on the corner calls the cops.:icon_thumby:

no, hes talking about these: CLICK

and actually, a 3psi boost is enough to give you between 20-30 extra ponies...you arent going to get that from advancing the timing.
