Transmission on 90 ranger?

So i went to the local yard today to look and see whats there. I came across a 90 ranger 4x4 with a 2.9. I opened the doors and it had a 1354 transfer case. Does this also have an m50d too? How can i find out?

With a truck with nonstandard equipment, it's anyone's guess what it has in it.

BW1350s and 1354s have the same transmission adapter flange.

Look underneath it and see if the trans has a removable pan on it.

You can't by the transfer case shift handle, they are both pretty close to the same and you wouldn't be able to tell them apart from the inside.

If it was a 2.9, then more than likely it was the FM-146 transmission.

most likely its a FM-146.
