But I do have one question Insanejughead - how did you come to be FLOORED? - SFBD, Axle Flip, C-Notch or something extreme - is that what they mean when they say "laying frame or rockers?? - LOL - J/K . . .

I am glad that they split up the 2wd. Now it might be easier to find and get answers to lowered questions.
 
yep, now all us lowered guys gotta come up with an FAQ for 98+ and 83-97. 2 seperate ones will probably be best, so that is more organized and easier to find your specific area of question. I can help with 98+ as thats what I have and pre 97 I can help a little but not much as I havent worked on one in a long time.
 
I can chime in on anything pre-97. '98 and newer I only have a vague idea of what all goes on with suspension.

I can help out with the pre-99. I am actually going to be doing a drop here in a couple weeks on a buddies truck. Well its actually swapping the drop from his '91 to his '94 he wanted to go with a 2 gen body.
 
91 is Gen 2, 94 is Gen 3

So, he wants to go with the Gen 3 or Gen 2?
 
i can chime in at some point.....ive dropped far too many, i pick the trucks up cheap, clean them up drop them and sell them for a huge profit LOL
 
well if he is swapping the drop from a 91 to a 94 its gen 2 togen3. gen 3+ looks better to me than the square trucks. but thats just personal pref.
 
I got that backwards gen 2 to gen 3 he is moving from the boxy still to the newer one.
 
MHughes... do you mind putting up some pictures of what trucks you have done?
