i know this has probably already been covered somewhere, but i couldn't find specifics so i apologize for that. anyway, i'm getting ready to do the drop and i was wondering, do you think my stock wheels will rub in the front? they are 225/70/r15 which is about 27.4" diameter. i really can't afford new wheels and tires and the drop all at the same time. so should i wait until i can do everything at once or will they be fine? the tires are relatively new so they have a lot more miles in them. my stock rims look like shite though, gettin' a little rusty, so i do want to replace those asap. also, what would be a good tire size for say a 17" rim and the 4/5 drop?

I have a 3/4 drop on mine and the stocks fit very nicely. Just by looking at mine I am guessing you should be ok with them.

Keep us posted on your mods . . .

I have a 5/7 drop on my 96 and I am running 245/40r17s all the way around and dont have any problems with rubbing unless i cut my wheel all the way right or left.

Same here... I don't rub at all unless I'm at full lock. Even then, I'm not worried about problems because it barely rubs and I'm never going fast at full lock.

You'll be just fine.
