Ya I was just wondering what every bodys thoughts about a spool upfront. I was wanting to do a locker but i can pick a spool up for 100 on cl. thank you guys.

IMO, if you only drive in a straight line, it'll work good. It adds a lot of stress on the front shafts though, and greatly widens your turning circle (that's if you can even turn at all... my Ranger won't turn for sh!t if I have the ARB locked, although my BII still can turn somewhat. Wheelbase thing? Weight? not sure why. I would never want it locked fulltime on either one though).

maybe if it was a truck purely for straight mud boggs... imo.

If you're going to spool it you might as well weld it, no sense in spending extra money for the same thing, it will put more stress on the shafts than say an auto locker will because it can't unlock to relieve any windup.

lol...thats not the same thing there bud...well, until it breaks it might be. and if you spool it, youll have to get c clip elims which cost more than the spool does

lol...thats not the same thing there bud...well, until it breaks it might be. and if you spool it, youll have to get c clip elims which cost more than the spool does
We're talking about the front axle...
