That truck is retarded. It was at SEMA last year when I went. It has 1/2 ton axles with roughly 46"- 50" tires (dont remember the exact size want to say 46's), not to mention it is 2wd and doesnt even have a tcase under there, it only has a 2wd tranny connected to the rear end. The owner and builder of that abortion should be shot.

It's absolutely hilarious how much shit people talk about things and other people, even though they have no knowledge about what they are talking shit about. Let me explain. That big ass Ranger is mine. I happened to find this posting while messing around on the internet, so I joined this little forum so that I could respond to those faggots that have decided to talk shit about me and my truck.
Do you know me? Do you know my truck? Do you know why I built it the way I did?
I set out to build the biggest and baddest Ranger ever. As far as I know, I've done exactly that. I don't know of any other Rangers, anywhere, that are as big as mine, or as wild as mine. I built every bit of that truck myself. I built the entire chassis. I built the engine. I built the suspension. I even built the fuel tank. With the exception of some help with the bodywork, paint, and fiberglass (I did have a hand in all of that too) I built EVERY ****ING THING on that truck! Not only did I build it, I built it from a stock Ranger to a running, driving truck with 39" of lift in only 3 months.
As far as the shit talking about it not being 4WD, not having a transfer case, and not being able to take it offroad....... You are correct. It is not 4WD, but I did not build it to be an offroad truck. How many trucks have you seen that big that do any good offroad? Yes, I used only 1/2 ton axles. I used them because I needed a wider footprint so that it was more stable. 1/2 ton axles with anything over a 35" tire don't do well offroad. THIS IS NOT AN OFFROAD TRUCK! I drove the crap out of it EVERYDAY with those 1/2 ton axles and it never once broke. Where have you seen me claim that my truck is the biggest, most badass offroad truck out there? Where have you ever seen me claim that it does so awesome offroad. When have you ever heard me say such things? I know it sucks for offroad, but who ****ing cares?! I didn't build it to go offroad. The body has been completely shaved/painted, and it has a fully fiberglassed interior. Who in thier right mind would take that offroad? The picture you all see there was when I had 46's on it. It now has 52's. When it was featured, on the cover by the way, in Mini Truckin' Magazine in Feb. '08, and featured in Truck Trends (a Japanese truck magazine) in Feb. '08 also, it had the 52's on it. When it was at SEMA, it had the 52's on it.
To those shit talkers, what have you done? What have you built, with your own hands, that got worldwide recognition? What have you done that's worth a shit?! What have you built that was able to be entered into SEMA, which is by far the hardest car show to get your vehicle into? You don't know me. You don't know what was put into my truck. You don't have any ****ing idea about my motivations for building that truck. I wanted a beyond crazy custom show truck, and that's what I built. I built EXACTLY what I wanted. I built something that all of America, and even Japan, have seen. What have you done?! The only exposure your truck probably has had is your slideshow pictures on your MySpace. I'll be the absolute first person to admit that my truck isn't an offroad truck and that all it's good for is driving on the road and going to shows. So what? That's what I wanted, so that's what I built. If you don't like it, that's fine. I don't expect everyone to like what I built. There are a shit ton of people that do like it though. If you don't, fine, but keep your faggot ass mouth closed!

why would you lift a truck for show? Doesnt it kind of defeat the purpose of the lift and MUD tires you have on there? Thirdly take a chill pill man you acting like that makes people talk more shit because you sound like a nutcase. Lastly people on this website build rangers to use them either street truck to go fast, or a truck to take offroading this is in no way a show truck website and it is a matter of opinion wether or not people like your truck that is something you have to accept since everyone in the WHOLE WORLD has seen your truck. what? did you just think that you were so cool everyone would instantly like a show truck? I for one personally HATE IT! I think that my ranger which i built myself and it gets used harder thatn that little sissy truck ever will is 1000 times better so how about next time you want to come onto OUR forums and be mr badass i suggest you take the dick out of your mouth.

I'm sure you may be upset that not everyone likes your truck. There are a couple facts that you may want to consider before having a blow up like you did on this site.
1. This site has OVER 10,000 registered members. This site has hunderds of thousands of hits a month from people looking for tech info on Ranger Based vehicles. You just made yourself look like an ass to everyone of them. Had you handled it differntly, you could have come out with some free exposure for your truck.
2. Do a google search about anything related to Ford Rangers. TheRangerStation.com is ALWAYS in the top 10 results...and you made yourself look like an ass with your post.
3. There are multiple members of this site that have had their trucks in magazines. Several have been in magazines with world wide exposure. Jim Oaks (the owner of this site) truck, TRS2, was in Offroad Adventures magazine in a 5 part build. That magazine is circulated in I believe 16 countries. That kind of blows away a small publication in Japan and the SEMA show. I for one did all the body and paint work on that truck...so, don't think your truck makes you something special.
4. Many of us actually admire the amount of time and effort you put into your truck. You were right when you said it's not easy getting your truck into SEMA, but, the way you presented yourself...that pretty much turned it off for every one.
5. And finally to your point that your truck has 39" of lift...big deal, that's like trying to make a porn movie with a 12" paper cock. It may look impressive at first...but it's really just big and useless.

If I took mine to the junkyard they would put a tarp over it so as not to embarrass themselves.

First off, I agree that I got a bit heated and went overboard. I apologize to anyone that was offended. You have no idea how many times people have ragged on my truck, and me, for what it is. They talk about how useless it is, how it's not even 4WD, that it can't go offroad, blah, blah, blah. I built it specifically as a show truck, period. As far as having a show truck with mud tires, as one of you pointed out, when have you ever seen a 52" street tire?
I know the truck is useless. I knew when I built it that it would be useless. I had the luxury to build something that was just a useless toy. I built a truck, that as far as I know, is completely different from any other Ranger that has ever been built. I know everyone's truck is different, but when have you ever seen a truck like mine? There are a bunch of 'bagged Rangers, lowered Ranger's, etc............... The point is that I built something so insanely different from everyone else's truck. Then you get the people that think they know everything about everything, and that what they think is law. I saw what someone wrote, it made me mad, so I responded. It doesn't really matter. What I said was aimed at those couple of people, and that's it.
Now, knowing that I have a useless truck (which is what I wanted at the time), and knowing that it was customized to a point that I really couldn't do anything else with it, I have started over. As of three months ago, it has been completely torn down, interior put back to stock, all the big stuff sold, and I'm in the process of building a completely functional, long travel, go out and jump some shit, prerunner. The suspension I've designed has 22" of travel on 35" tires. The Chevy V8 is gone (which is going into my S10), and I've gutted a '94 Mustang GT to put the 5.0 into the Ranger. I can hear it now............ Why didn't you just sell it? What a waste. Why would you do that? Blah, blah, blah. I tried to sell it. There are a ton of people that like to look at it, but nobody wanted to pay for it. I can already imagine the dumbass comments for that last statement. I didn't have that much money into it, because I did all the work and I traded a lot for a lot of the parts, so I'm not really losing any money. I'm building the truck again into something more useable, because I can.
I was mad, I flew off the handle, and I apparently offended some of you. I'm sorry. All that energy was directed at a couple of idiots talking out of thier ass about something that they didn't even know the story behind. The moral of the story: Appreciate the work someone puts into thier truck, even if you don't like the style, and understand that there is a reason for what they do, even if you don't know what it is.

When the bags were deflated, you could just barely get your foot on the step on the side of the frame. When the bags were inflated, you could climb up the tire like a ladder and jump over to the door.

No need for you to apologize. You didn't suggest that the builder/owner of any truck be shot.
People with any type of show vehicle get ragged on for it being useless. You build a show quality 64 impala lowrider and there's going to be someone with a clapped out 80's Monte Carlo ragging on you for not hopping it. Build a show Pro Street car and you'll be called "Pro Fairground". I'll even admit I used to feel the same way. Whats the point in having a car that you are afraid to use? But then you start on a project and keep trying to do it better, and compromise less and less, and next thing you know, you really don't want to wreck it.
One small example is this old 70's drag bike I've got. I get a ton of flack for either a) not making it street legal, or b) modifying it to pass current NHRA tech. But I DON'T CARE that I can't ride it on the street or at the track. I'd rather take it to a few shows here and there and play around at the abandoned airstrip than go and hack it up to make it "legal" (for either street or NHRA).

dude, really, your truck is an abortion and any awards won with it should be burned, especally with that motor in it
now the plans for your s10 and your current palns for the ranger
thats a whole nother story
i just cant see the wrong motor in anything, if its a ford, it gets a ford motor, chevy gets a chevy motor
and if its a dodge, molitov coctail

first off, i can't believe this thread is still going :icon_confused:
i also don't get all the "wrong engine" comments. lets see, time to rebuild my ford motor. lets get a holley carb, edelbrock intake, keith black pistons, com cam, trick flow heads, etc....
oh wait, i'm also rebuilding that chevy motor for my buddy. better get a holley carb, edelbrock intake, keith black pistons, com cam, trick flow heads.............. see where i'm going with this?
thats about as ignorant as saying you wont run a dana solid axle since they came in jeeps.

I agree with the insane owner of this truck.
"To each his own."
But wow.. I didnt see enough derogatory comments to warrant this kind of reaction.
Now my opinion (hope he doesnt have a heart attack.)
I cant see ANY reason to build a 2wd up that big. It looks great but my flavor is to go play in the mud with a big truck.
That truck kind of reminds me of the monster energy drink truck. They build those things humongous and you would think if theyre in an offroad park they would play a bit. The guy driving one one day when they were advertising that they would be at the offroad park would not take his anywhere near mud. He said if you take your ranger I will take this.. So I took my ranger through a huge mudpit and set off my airbags and when I got done I circled around and told him it was his turn and he was like oh no I cant take my truck through that.
WHY on earth build a monster truck if it (or you) are scared of mud?!

If you don't, fine, but keep your faggot ass mouth closed!
hahaha. the last time i checked lifting a truck was to improve its offroad performance. And sorry to sound like a dick but theres no point. that truck will never see offroad let alone a dirt road or mud puddle. ha it prolly dont even see the road. jus a trailer. and its not the biggest most bad ass.
Might not be pretty but its deff. Badass. not sure whos truck it is but who ever sick truck

yea i was laughing my ass of while reading this. love the 12in paper cock joke. ****n great :icon_rofl:
i got really busy really fast and relized i didnt have the time so what i did collect i gave away. then it got slow as ****. didnt have any parts. started picking up again but after some wheeling with buddys and the monster cock trucks i didnt care to have my ranger that freakin huge. cad designed a suspension system that would yeild around 28 inches of travel but dont have the time to start. then i just got a 2000 dodge diesel for free so im prolly gunu convert that to 4wd and copy kore suspension or cad design my own 2wd suspension so when things slow down again i can start a build on the dodge. as for the ranger its up for sale. SOME ONE PLEASE BUY THIS ****ER. 7K INVESTED TO MAKE IT A TITS UP TRUCK.
