4.10 will be pretty slow for a 4.0 truck on little tires.but it should hold up fine if you don't shock load it a lot

I would use the 7.5" until it breaks. Mine lasted about 2 years after the swap, until I munched the teeth on the pinion gear. It had 115,000 on it with the 3.0L and 30,000 miles with the 4.0L before it died. With 31s I would recommend 3.73 gears with a limited slip for onroad use.
