phone number help

had this phone numbe call me twice on my cell phone....go to call it back but it says it is not in my plan....international call....kno it aint canada...can call them

the number is 31-725-227-43**
how do i find out where it came from?...or better yet who it is:dntknw:
 
Those codes are not correct.

The correct ones are in every US phone book. 31 is Holland.

725 is not a valid Dutch city code, but 72 is Alkmaar.

If you weren't expecting an overseas call, it's a good bet it's either misdialed or a scam.
 
I've gotten several apparrently misdialed calls from Canada on my prepaid cell phone

No they aren't calls for the previous holder of my number,
I've had my number going on three years and it was in a block
of "new issue" numbers.

I just ignore them.

Basically if the call is from ANYONE not in my programmed "phonebook" I don't answer it.

ya allen has a point if its not in my phonebook i dont answer it, and if it is someone important and they really need to get ahold of you, they will be smart and leave a voicemail, otherwise i will never know, nor care

type it in the google search. try your own number and see what you get

i know that political people can get through "blocks" and they can show any number they want 000.000.1234. and bill collectors are the same. with the bill collectors if they dont get ahold of who they want, they will start going back in history of that person and calling old numbers. which in our case is about 3 diff people.
 
they caleed agian and i answerd....it some a little girl looking for her father......at least i think it was a little girl.....haha.....said nope...and have not gotten a phone call since.....kind of funky....i did do some research on that number and it said it was from the netherlands.....hmmm
 
It's a fat sheriff's depty impersonating a 9 year old girl.
