I can't speak for Jim, but I'll tell you what I have seen on the forums.
I dont think TRS 3 is in the works. He has an ongoing thread about re-lifeing TRS 1. And he has talked about throwing 4-linked D60's under TRS 1.

I don't know how far the idea got but I thought Jim had expressed some interest in doing up a Gen. 4 for the TRS 3. SAS front and such but never heard too much.
