Hello,

I just traded my fuel sucking dodge ram against a 99 ranger super cab, but I noticed that there are no levers to tilt the seats to get into the back, where they are supposed to be is just a hole in the seat and I don't know which way to tilt that "pin" in there!???
does somebody has a picture of those levers, or can tell me where to get them!?

thanks for any answers in advance, Bjoern

...no it doesn't have back doors!

My 97 XLT has a horribly designed tilt lever made of thin metal. Climbing in and out of the driver seat puts weight on the lever, and one broke off and had to be replaced. The part was $50+. It is now bent, and I have to be very careful getting in and out of the truck.
Without the lever, you can use a screwdriver to tilt the seatback.

ah thanks, but in what direction do you have to turn the screwdriver to make it tilt?

You don't actually turn the screwdrive, but use it as a lever in the same direction as the lever that no longer exists.
Possibly our situations are slightly different.
(mine is ok now since I replaced the entire unit)

thanks for the info, I think I'll have to try a little bit around to find out the best way to do it, don't really want to spend 50$ on a part that breaks :)

so you move the lever downwards to make it tilt?
