anyone seen this....

driving about 1 hour off road with my sons my clutch pedal started to feel high and hard, clutch started to slip also. after babying it to the asphalt and letting it cool about 15 mins the pedal fell went back to normal and i have had no issues since. i know the slave/release leaks a little, but the fluid level was ok and the problem vanished after cooling. anyone heard of overheating you clutch causing this issue??? i think i might try a new master cyl if no one else has heard of this. any ideas appreciated.

Thanks

i'm probibly gonna get corrected here. but the 1 and only time i had someone work on my truck. they got some air in the master and after it would start to "heat up" from using it, my clutch would start going away just about like the way your describing.
to be honest though, i really don't think this is your problem. i mean mine didn't feel "high and hard" as you say. it would just get harder to get it to shift. i guess the air heating up and expanding not letting the clutch fully disengage i believe. after cooling, it would feel normal again.

well i guess it doesn't matter anyway, i went to take my son to football and no brake pedal, blew a line. guess maybe the perfect time for a body lift and new brakelines. then chase the clutch after that
