Gauge Cluster re-pining

Hello, just got a gauge cluster w/tach from a 1992 Ford Explorer. I'm putting it in a 1993 Ranger 2.3. not sure what motor the 92 Explorer had in it. I installed it last night and not one gauge worked, of course it would not be that easy. :confused:

I searched the forum awhile back and found some repining info but can not seem to locate it now.
If anyone has any repining info for this it would be much appreciated. :D

The 93 and 94 years are the only ones that will plug and play with each other. 89-92 Ranger, Bronco II, Explorer all interchange with each other. I remember messing with a 93 cluster a few years back and from what I can remember there are only a few wires you have to move. I wish I had saved the pigtale I had made for the 93 cluster.

Ron,
If you buy from Ebay make sure you are getting the right year. I have seen several for sale that are 89-92 and the seller states that they are for 93-94. I prefer a local salvage yard search. Most of the time they can be found for $15-20

If you get one for an automatic vs a manual, don't worry, the PRND plate is also interchangable if you have the block off plate

Be careful.

Every stock Exploder before at least 1997 has a 4.0L V6.

Depending on where the truck gets the tach signal from, this is likely to make it WRONG. If it weren't DIS, you would be guaranteed to get a wrong signal.
