DOes anybody know if its possible to convert a carb engine to efi?
I own a 1983 ford ranger 2.8L automatic 2wd.
I'm very interested in doing this conversion and I need help.

By your post it says you have a 2.8 but in your profile it says that you have a 2.9... If you have a 2.9, Go to the local junk yard and get yourself the fuel injection stuff from the top of the motor, the ecu, and the fuel tank... if i would have known this about 2 weeks ago I would have given you all this stuff if you payed for shipping lol

The best route is to get an aftermarket EFI conversion kit. They can be had from a TBI kit thats about 600 bucks, to a wiz-bang top notch intake system thats about 2 to 3 grand.

All are stand alone systems so you dont have to di*k around with the wiring nightmare of converting a carbed vehicle to a mustang EFI

Jegs or Summit racing will be the best place to start looking. Also, check e-bay and craigs list as they often times pop up for one hell of a deal.
