So, Im getting a BII soon, and wondering about any ideas that you've comr up with,
exampe:
I really like what CopyKat done to his headlights, me made a round molding type thing, I was thinking about that,
so tell us what you've done/doing!

Hmmmm, Lets see....Lots!
4.0/M5OD
5.5" Lift
4.56 Gears
Lockers
Dual shocks up front, CopyCat did the same, only better than me
Super runner steering
Roof Rack
Light Rack
Custom Bumpers
Ext. Radius Arms
Explorer Grill
Bed Lined the Entire Thing
Rock Sliders
Fox Body seats
Newer Ranger Center console
Warn Hubs
D44 Knuckles and Brakes
Dual opening Hatch, Like a Tail Gate and a flip up window(that one was fun)
Tube Doors
Then I wrecked it!:D
I chopped teh top and added a rollbar on my other BII, and added a Black Canvas top, no windows
Chopped the doors 6in from the bottom, so there was a 6 inch 'lip' like a jeeper so yer shit don't roll out when rollin with no doors
And many other things to many other BII's:icon_thumby:

Interesting, as I've been working on a concept very similar. I've seen one like you've mentioned. Got any pictures??

I dont..... The wrecker already crushed that BII :(
I'm making another one tho, the first one was rather.. Primitive..
It was reaal nice having a Tailgate tho, and not having the lift the entire back hatch everytime.

I see...
I used the BII Hatch and cut it in half, then used some weather stripping in between the two. I made some hinges out of some F150 tailgate hinges and then used the pneumatic pushrods to push up the top part. The latch to lock the two together I never got totally figured out

Does the Ranger Tailgate fit just fine on the BII or do you have to narrow it?
Looks like it fits

well sort of and not sort of, I dont mean like under the hood and suspension and that kinda stuff, I mean rare home-made stuff, like your round headlights, and how you added the oldschool style, thats what made me post it in the Rare section, cause tis not every day you see a round-headlighted-old-school-styled B2!

Pictures?? I can see doing the rear one as the 3" long gutter isn't doing much. I'll likely cut mine off before I paint.
Would like to see what they look like removed above the doors.

I think Maurice is going to cut his rear one off before he paints it.

The gutter acts as a spot weld location to join the rear quarter panels to the roof skin. Hides the ugly spot welds and makes the finishing easier. The spot weld machines need to be alot smaller as it's just 2 panels comming together.
If you ever look at a ranger you will see the seam run back around to the rear window and it usually looks like ass. With the open back of the B2 the roof skin needs to be welded somewhere. the curve in the rear windows leaves the 3" rain gutter at the back. 2" more window and it would never have been a problem. but to make the c pillar look close to the b pillar a space was nessesary.
Best reason I can come up with.:icon_twisted:

In this picture you can see the little gutter. It's between the rear window and the hatch near the top of the window.

So with that in mind I scrapped the 3 before i had BIV on the road. (88,89,90) Parts from each ended up in my 87. Now you start to see where BIV comes from?
:derisive:
In total my truck has parts from atleast 15 different trucks, of varying years.

which have you enjoyed and or like more Rick, the Bronco IIs or your Ranger...or is this an unfair question?if all i wanted was a toy i'de put my setup on a b2 in a heartbeat and i'm sure it would rip on the ranger wheeling.but after you chop the top and take out the seats that tiny 3ft bed is still too small to haul anything.:thefinger:.and the ranger is more than transportation, its a usful tool for many things.
In total my truck has parts from atleast 15 different trucks, of varying years.yeah probably because you had to salvage the not so rusty parts from those 15 trucks to keep a wheel from rotting off yours:joke: isen't that why you can't have holes in the rockers or body for inspection up there? i hear theres a lot of chicken wire and expando foam bodywork up there
