1993 Ranger 3.0 V6 radiator replacement?

Well the radiator finally kicked the bucket. It has a 8 inch crack running up it and water is just pouring out. Time to replace. Only problem is a new one from LMC truck would cost 170, plus shipping. Hopefully I can find one from a yard but I need to know what years, other engine sizes, and other vehicles I can pull one to fit with little to no modification of the truck.

So far I can only think of 1991 to 1994 3.0 Radiators, but I don't know if I will be able to find them at the yard I go to. They only have 3 Rangers.
 
Aww hell, I'm stuck driving a minivan until I can get it fixed. Really need help fast on this one. I'll be going to the yard this weekend and its a 40 mile drive down, and 40 back.
 
just spend the money you'd save by not burning up the 20-30 bucks in fuel and buy a new radiator.

A new radiator doesn't cost 20-30 bucks. It costs around 200.

A USED radiator costs 35. And you can check for leaks at the yard.
 
you could do what i did when i lost the radiator in my camaro, measure what you have, right down to the nearest centimeter and then go for a walk through the yard. just pay attention to the location of your input and output and whatever goodies plug-in to your radiator. sometimes it is a good idea to make a rough draw of what you have also as well as measurements. when i did mine i found a real nice 4core out of a 68 pontiac that slid right in.

$80 or $110 from RockAuto, depending on transmission. Most yards will charge at least $40 for a used radiator, and then you are taking a chance on a used radiator. Grab it new and you will be thankful for the reliability that will keep you out of the drivers seat of a minivan. :icon_thumby:

A little bit more money, but AutoZone offers a Lifetime guarantee on theirs too
 
when my radiator took a dump about a year or so ago, i had went to advanced auto and they wanted about 130 bucks for a rad. So i called up autozone and they said 108. So i went back to advanced(which was closer) and said autozone will sell me one for 108 and they said,well,so can we, here you go sir heh. But my truck is a 5spd so the price will be much higher if its got a auto in it.
 
haha i didnt mean a new radiator was 20 or 30 dollars, but 30 for fuel plus 40 for a used one plus peice of mind that the one you replace it with isn't plugged or leaking is deffinetly worth it in my book. i dunno if you have pepboys where you live but i got one for an exploder for 120 there.
