The factory gaskets do not line up correctly. Even if you cut them into 3 pieces the center hole is too large to seal around my headers. The header flange has a raised portion and the gasket barely covers it. Blown out 2 this week until I looked close. Where can you buy actual header gaskets?

knowing what you have: type of header, and motor would be helpful. most auto parts places should carry what you need, although if you know what you have for a header you should be able to do a google search. i searched google but not knowing what header you have or what motor you have, it is kinda hard to tell you where to go. i came up with a bunch of options, but they are header specific. google search: popular header gaskets and hit google search.

You do not need to start a new thread everytime you post an update....like I said in the other thread, you can try getting ahold of hedman to see if they offer replacement gaskets for their headers.

Sorry.
I found a web site http://percyshp.com they sell XXCarbon gaskets that are burn proof. After I get them installed I'll repost how good they are. They also have soft aluminum gaskets that are supposed to last forever and you can reuse them forever!

Got my gaskets from http://percyshp.com Thursday. Strangest looking exhaust gasket I've ever seen! It looks like felt stuck on each side of a metal plate. Installed them Friday and no more leak! The factory gaskest had the exhaust holes too large to fit my header flange. I would highly recommend these gaskets. They also have "soft" aluminum gaskets that last 4-ever. If you race and remove your headers often they appear to be the SHEEETS!!
