new/old vehicle

so my family just picked up a 94 mazda navajo. It is my understanding that this is pretty much an explorer with a different grill and tails. But i am wondering if there are any motor difs or if it is all ford?. I know it is a 4.0L V6 and it has a five speed, but OD doesnt work.

also, any ideas on finding and fixing a coolant leak? both my truck and this one leak pretty bad.

exact same as the explorer, cept the grill and crap..same motor,tranny,axles..ect

Yeah, they are the same as the Explorers, all ford(If you can consider a cologne motor and Mazda tranny Ford ;missingteeth;

) The tranny, is going to be a M5OD, and when you say it doesn't work, does it just not go into gear or what?

And the coolant leak, can you tell where it's leaking from? From the Radiator, Motor or Heater core?

After driving it, look for wet spots on the ground then follow the dripping(if any) and look for wet spots under the hood or in the cab.

over drive (OD) doesnt exist, it resembles neutral when you put it in that gear.

also, im looking for the armrests on the doors for it. soif i understand what you guys are saying, then explorer ones should work?

The Colone factory is owned by Ford, who also has a controlling interest in Mazda. :dntknw:
