I have a 1988 Bronco II with the fuel pump in the tank and the secondary pump in the line. I also have a 1989 Bronco II for parts. Can I switch the gas tanks and get rid of the secondary pump and replace it with the fuel filter.

No, both probably have the same tank and pump assembly. You also HAVE to keep the inline pump, since both are fuel injected and require the extra fuel pressure that the inline pump provides.

Yes you can, the 89-up uses a single pump in the tank for everything, no need for a frame rail pump. No need to switch tanks either, they're the same.

Really? Damn...my bad! I thought they were the same setup. Thanks for the correction

Yup, '89 and up usually only have one in the Tank, I have seen some exceptions tho, ya know how Ford is sometimes :tease:

But he will need to replace the in tank pump and remove the inline pump and probably some more wiring issues somewhere for the inline
