airbag is out and truck won't start

do the airbags need to be in for the truck to run? they were both blown. i pulled them out and now i can't get it to fire up. there have been some other things i've done and its been sitting for a while. its a 98 4.0 4x4.
 
The inertia switch has probably been tripped (cuts the fuel pump off), just needs to be reset, it should be behind the passenger side kick panel.
 
thanks i got it running 10 minutes after i wrote that. i took the fuel pump out and looked it over and tried it one more time and it fired right up.
