how much weight on the bumper?

We were going to borrow our friends little tent trailer for a few weekends. It weighs about 1700lbs. Can the stock bumper pull that kind of weight or do i need to get a hitch?

most of the time the bumpers say right on the step what they are rated to tow.

im too lazy to go read mine right now, but if memory serves its something like 500lbs tongue weight and 2,000lbs gross weight...so you should be alright.

The stock bumper is rated at 2000lbs.,tongue weight 200lbs..At least that what the one on my Ranger has on it.
