HI , I got a '85 ranger it came with a replacement engine from a newer mustang(exact year unknown) I had to change a few things mounts/fuel rail nothing major. When I first tried to start it the gas pump was no longer coming on , so I ran a wire to the pump from a + source and it worked. yet still didn't start and there was preasure on the rail.I sprayed stater spray in the chamber an d it starts for a sec or 2. I removed the sparkplugs and they were dry.
I am really confused and don't know what to check next..
I was told that I may have to change the fuel pump due to a lower preasure.
Is this possible?
why won't my pump start anymore(i drove the truck in)
after being told the pump may have low preasure for the engine I put the injectors from the original engine thinking if the pump was good enough before this should work..sparkplugs are still dry although there is preasure on the fuelrail
All tests were done with fuelpump hooked direct and it does not shut off.
Any suggestions please
