What width wheel should I use for a set of 33x12.5 tires? And should I use any backspacing?

If you'll be airing down for offroad use much, 15x8" with 3.75" backspace for sure.
If it's going to spend it's whole life on the street, then a 15x10", with 4.5" backspace might give slightly better wear & handling.

15x8 or 15x10, but the 15x8 rim will hold a better bead, im getting rid of my 15x10's for that reason. cant air down that much with out foldin a tire. up to you.

I would have to agree with Junkie. 15x8 with 3.75 BS is the way to go. And, I'm not sure about the street part, but it sound good to me, I wouldn't dissagree.
That is what I have and I'd do it agian. I don't care for the wider wheel becuase of the fact that you run a much higher risk of blowing the bead.
