this last weekend i put a 4" lift on my 87. since we coulndnt find a pitman arm puller we just used the stock pitman arm to pull it out of the garage. will the pitman arm cause one tire to be turned more than other? should it be fine with the drop one put on.or is it some other issue

the way you worded your post doesn't make much sense. IF you are asking if you can use a stock pitman arm with a 4inch suspension lift the answer is no because i believe it will throw your steering geometry off, and i don't think you have enough adjustment to compensate. and if that isn't the info you were looking for i'd say articulate your question better next time

You could use it, and it would work,
but,
your tires will surely not appreciate it, and nor will your on road handling

And you can usually rent pitman arm pullers from AutoZone/Checker for like 20$, then when your done, return it and get your money back.

The angle of your steeing will be awful. For the sake of your linkage, tires, and handling, a dropped pitman arm should be swapped in ASAP. The steering linkage should almost be flat.

The pitman arms usually need a little heat and a puller to pop off. They're stubborn.

I just got the drop pitman in and both tires point in the same direction. the linkage is preety flat too
