My credo
drive it till it breaks, fix it, and drive it again!
So, earlier today i had to go to my school for registration for senior year(woot:icon_bounceblue:) and my truck was fine... then later i let my sister and mom take it to give some stuff to goodwill... they come back and tell me that my check engine light is on, so i'm like WTF, it was fine 2 hours ago. i let it cool off just in case because its hot as shit outside. i leave to go to my friends house, CEL is still on... i look in the engine compartment and i look down on the left side right next to the exhaust manifold that theres a sphere-looking thing that has basically melted and now it looks like there might be some sort of sensor sticking out... could this be the cause of my problems? or do i have to take it into the shop to have it looked at?

IF it was not like that befor than yes this would be your problem

I had 1 Plug wire melt and the computer threw 10 check engine lights that had noting to do with how to fix it ..

start by taking it to a parts store and getting the code and or just show them the part thats melted and they can get it for you .

U CAN TAKE IT TO A SHOP BUT IVE had way bad luck with shops telling you that they fix somthing and just rig it up . ive learned that if you teach your self and mess up then at least you know what you did to mess stuff up .
