do i need a torsion bar tool to remove the torsion bars?? If so anyone have a pic of what it looks like. Seems the people at O'reilly and Autozone think im crazy.

All I've ever done is jack the truck up to take the weight off them, loosen the adjuster bolt til the key is slack or falls out and knock them out with a BFH. Good luck

I lossend the bolt till it fell out. Now the torsion key is resting on top of the adjuster nut. There still seems to be some tension holding it in.

Sorry, but I don't know what else to tell ya. I've only done it on chevy's, and they've always dropped loose when the bolts been backed off all the way.
