I wouldnt bother getting leafs from an early explorer...theyre probably sagging from years of service. I would look into getting newer leafs from the 2nd gen explorer. The "F" code is the easiest to find, and is a 4 leaf pack from a 95-01 Explorer 4dr 4x4.
The "F" code is from a 95-01 Explorer 4dr 4x4 (4-leaf)
The "L" code is from a 95-00 Explorer 2dr (3" wide monoleaf)
The "H" code is from a 95-01 Explorer Eddie Bauer/Limited AWD (Air Ride 4-leaf)
As they said, just use C clamps to stabilize the pack while you remove the center pin and flip it around. Since your 2wd, you'll have to probably get longer shocks. Getting 4x4 shocks for your model year should do it perfectly as the 4x4 sit about 2-2.5" higher. The leafs should lift it around ~2 inches. May ride slightly stiffer, which probably is a good thing, and have more towing capacity.
