i am trying to find out how older rangers with ttb were used for prereunnering, 98 and newer use long arm suspension on IFS, but this is not possible or affordable for my 94 mazda. Several people have mentioned something about swapping f 150 parts to axles to widen the suspension and make it handle better for prerunner use. ive searched the internet, and have not found much info on this, and was wondering if this is even possible. if so i was hoping that someone could direct me towards some good write ups or give me some info. it looks like it could be possible and cheap, but i would probably have to fabricate some stuff, and get custom fiberglass fenders, and hopefully it ouldnt throw off the geometry. BTW im not trying to do too heavy prerunner stuff, afterall my truck is 4 wheel drive and i want to be able to use it for moderate 4 wheelin to.

search for dana 44 ttb. A few have done it and NOT ALL THERE has a nicley done truck. I beleive it should be somewhat simple but you have to move the pivot point on the brackets in a inch I believe, due to the fact the F150/bronco have a narrower pivot compared to the ranger. Also look in the tech library I believe there is a write up in there. under d44 ttb. good luck.

This has been discussed a few times on here, try searching for it, and you'll find specific info.

To use the TTB D44 I know you will have to move one of the pivots inboard more or shorten one the beams (and shaft).

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
your from reno? and asking this question?

last time i was driving from reno i seen shit tons of modded out rangers with full on custom beams to home made units running van tib, to equal length ttb d44 setups with insane travel. all kinds of insanity. there is a fullsize bronco round there with a whole custom d44 =length 300 m front end with 35 splines and ctms..

all the trucks had plates from nev/nmex/azizz/cali so i know they have to be around alot.

on a budget i would mod some of joels brackets and run a d44 out of a f series. hell theres s10's and tacos running those setups out there...

As long as they cover the tires, you should be fine.
