ive just installed the Skyjacker leveling coils (part number 132x) on my 95 4x4 ext. cab, and i am very pleased with the results...BUT
whenever i hit i reasonably sized bump in the road i hear a clunking noise, like the shocks are bottoming out or something...its a nasty noise, it happens as the suspension is going down. the shocks are newer, i replaced them last year at this time of year, so it cant be them.
i cant figure it out, can someone help me out:icon_confused:

Did you tighten down the coil spring retaining nut all the way? I think the spec on it is around 80 ft/lbs.

Are you bottoming out on your bump stops? The skyjacker springs are softer than factory springs. (~400 lbs/inch vs. ~500+).

Also, its possible for the shocks to be overextended. A cheap way to extend the shocks an inch or so is to stick some sort of spacer on the stud on top of the shock before installing it. Ive used 1/2 nuts and a washer overtop for this. You just want to make sure you have enough of the stud threads sticking out the opposite side of the shock bushing and nut to prevent it from popping off should it overextend again. While this is just a temporary fix, you should look into getting extended shocks for a 2" lift.

Agreed, it sounds like the shocks are topping out now, you need ones that are 1-2" longer.
