3.0 headers

so for a weeekend project thinkin about goin down to the junkyark adn pullin some headers from a 3.0 and porting them out. worth it? i just cant justify spending minimum of 450 on new ones.

Do you mean Manifolds?

I've personally seen only one set of modern headers in a junkyard.

It was an F-150 with Borla's on it's 5.0.

I made a nice chunk of change on ebay from them.

No. Not worth it. Get a good set of headers and a cat back exhaust. Port the heads and intake manifold, drop in a high lift/high duration cam, Drop in some bigger injectors, get a chip and program it for your setup and THEN it might be worth it. Doing just the stock exhaust manifolds will likely cost you power, not give you any extra.
