I Have 87 4x4 Ranger. I Am Putting In A 3.0 From A 2wd Ranger. I Have
Swaped Every Thing Over For The Motor . Having Clearance Problems On Oil Pan. Hitting On Area For Front Suspension. Any Ideals. Thank . P.s New To Site ,this Is The Best Site Ever!

the problem you are having is an "expected" problem.

For 1993 Ford changed the oil pan on the 3.0 engine
by adding a strategically placed "dent" to clear the
axle pivot bracket for the passenger side beam.

Do not attempt this yourself becasue it usually either cracks the oil pan
or distorts the pan "rail" which will result in a leak.

Previous to 1993 the 3.0 engine was only put in 2wd Rangers
so the 2wd rangers used the Aerostar oil pan.
1993 was the first year for a 3.0 4x4.
and all RWD 3.0's from '93 on use the "ranger" 3.0 oil pan

You need a new oil pan for a 1993-up 3.0
They cost about $80 from the ford dealer.

The oil pickup tube may also be different,
I don't remember offhand.

IF you need the PN I have one still in the ford box
and I can read you the PN off the box.
