I'm going to be picking up my enclosed trailer soon and have been thinking about a sway brake. I'm not worried about the tounge weight (have 800# of quads I can move to add or remove tounge weight) so a WD hitch would be overly complex, but I think a sway brake would be a great benefit. Does anyone know of a decent quality, reasonable cost, bolt together kit? I can weld it if need be but bolting it on would be much easier for me.

I went to the local RV dealer and got sticker shock but they usually only carry the high dollar stuff.

You mean this? It will help a lot.

It can bolt on unless you have a boxed frame tongue. Might have to weld a tab on the side of your drawbar for the little ball unless you can find one. EAZ-Lift sells the tab.

Yes that's what I mean. Sway brake/Sway contol. The RV dealer wanted about $180, I'm looking to spend about $80. The tab gets welded onto my draw bar correct?

Like this, yes.

Those things aren't that expensive. I'm sure a little e-search would turn one up for your price.

Here's one on my first try:http://www.etrailer.com/pc-SC~3400.htm
