column shifter to floor shifter

ok so i found a perfect shifter from a 88 bII with 4ald, and i wanted to swap the shifter to my 89 with 4ald, i found a thread about this from 07 but nothing as far as doing the swap i was wondering if anyone has done this swap and what they did to make it work
 
ok after spending some time underneath my bronco and what not i have figured out how to make a floor shifter work in the truck with the cable shifter i just need to get another bracket from the junk yard next week and modify it to work, but i mocked everything up and it will work just got to figure the correct pivot point as well as a ball stud, anyone interested let me know and i will post picks of it all
 
I've never really been fond of floor shifter automatics.

Frankly I think with an auto the column is right where it belongs.

auto floor shifters simply get in the way.
