Just checked the local junkyard, and I can get explorer springs at $15/ea. There are quite a few explorers at the junkyard too, some with 4 springs, and I think I saw one with 2 springs maybe? If my goal is to raise the rear of the truck for trail use, and to get good flex from the suspension, which way do i want to go? My current springs sag enough that they look almost straight, and I won't be putting a load in this truck ever.

Should I ditch the overload spring to gain some flex as well?

Get the F Code Springs...They are the 4 leaf springs and are the most common and easily found. They are out of 95 and up 4 door V6 4wd exploders.

The L Code is a monoleaf found in 2 door models
The H Code is a softer 4 leaf that is found in V8 AWD models...

Flip 'em over, don't ditch them completely, otherwise it could result in bending the springs at the leaf perches.

Well I picked up the springs after work today, and just put them in. Took a before and after measurement, and I got 2 inches of lift off just the springs. I jumped in the bed a couple times, to try and settle things out a bit before I measured. The springs I got were from a 95(I think) 4dr explorer, that already had its axle removed, so I only had to do half the work.
