by the way does anyone know what rear alxe do i have is it a dana

If you look at the top of this page you'll see "technical library". If you go there you can find just about anything you might want to know. If there is something you can't find there, find the proper forum and ask away. Don't be afraid of asking a question that is to small, there is no such thing.
The rear end in your Ranger should be a Ford 8.8.
 
Welcome to TRS. I'd say you have a 28 spline 8.8.
