So.. on my quest to achieve better fuel milage, and get a beater so I can do my SAS, I came up with a crazy idea. I was offered an older 4dr Golf, and since I'm doin the SAS on 37's, I'm gunna have a set of like new 31's layin around.
MarkII Golf 4dr on 31's little suspension lift and hacked fenders??? Kinda defeats the MPG goal but I think it would be badass.

i always wanted to do that, mainly just to see peoples reaction. hey do it with a subaru and you would kinda have 4 wheel drive.

We did that already. My buddy bent 3 struts in his(400hp 2.2 stroker w/ T3/T4hybrid, FMIC, and meth inj... and bald tires), we put in the struts and springs from a forester which gave it 4" of lift. It actually wheeled pretty good, but handled so bad on the street, the "lift" was removed 4 days later.

your penis cannot possibly be so tiny that you need to assert your masculinity in the form of lifting your commuter vehicle.

VW did it from the factory. Google golf country and see for yourself. It doesnt have 31s but who cares. It has a factory push grill and rear mounted spare tire behind the hatch. There are few for sell in the states but mostly canada. VW people kinda like it because of its oddity status. I'm not sure if it has syncro drive (vw early 4 wheel drive).
