road trip

Working on getting a road trip from PA to los angeles. The goal was just to go wheeling at moab but i figured might as well go all the way. Hopefully i will be leaving sometime between december and february as long as the ranger is done and i have a trailer for it. lol. I dont really have a set time limit for it either (i get home from afghanistan sometime in december). I would like to stay off the highways and take the back roads. My question is does anyone know of any other good trails or other "points of interest" between here and there. thanks

a firend of ming just went to moab , from philly, i think
sounded like an awosome trip(he also left with a skyjacker 3 inch lift and came home with the "AIROCK" airbag lift for free

i think he said colorado was great wheeling too

Points of interest between PA and CA? There are THOUSANDS. Everything from the Grand Canyon to the Greyhound Hall of Fame (in Abeline, KS -- pet the dogs) to the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota (Darwin, MN).

My favorites are Carlsbad Caverns, Pike's Peak (not in winter), "American Alps" (Ouray, CO), Grand Canyon, and Yosemite Valley (a bit out of the way, but not TOO far given a 3000 mile trip).

Probably want to include a garage or two that cater towards wheelers incase some major repairs are needed.

sounds good. i think i am going to try for the easter jeep safari at moab. sounds like a really good time.
